Today I rode 23 miles on my bicycle in the basement while watching "Super Size Me." This movie only reinforces the healthy choices I make on a daily basis!! What the fast food industry has done to the people in our society is amazing!! Watching Morgan's blood pressure, cholesterol, triglycerides, etc. sky rocket should be all that is needed for the FDA to take some legal action and wipe out these fast food monsters. What should the price of health cost people?
I got myself a special Christmas present this year. I hired Julie (a personal trainer for endurance athletes) to help me get through my half ironman training successfully. I am so excited...I have to not only be accountable to you, but also to her. I officially start following her training plan for me on Monday, January 4. This will also force me to get into the pool more :)

UGH, I think I got this figured out. I tried to comment on your last post, but it wouldn't let me post it. I really haven't been ignoring you!
ReplyDeleteSuper Size Me is a great movie, from a documentary point of view. I think the saying "everything in moderation" is a good rule of life, however. People have definitely changed how they eat. Restaurants have definitely changed how they create their menus. These are the two most important reactions to this movie. Yes, I agree, for those who have a main diet of fast food, they should have a major life style change. There are probably a lot deeper issues going on with a person like that, however.
Congrats on the Christmas present! How fun. Glad to hear you have a mini tri in your basement. When can I come swim in your pool? haha. It's all about motivation, isn't it? Definitely a mind game: Don't let the body take over or you will quit. So, do you adjust the tension as if going up/down hills as you bike?
